We send our puppies home with their Puppy Starter Kit, Puppy Collar and Leash, Blanket with Mom, Dad and Littermates Scent, Record of Healths, Australian Shepherd Training Book, Food, Breed Club Registration, Record of Parents Health Tests, Vitamins, Natural Training treats, and Toys.

Enrichment & Socialization

Winsome Aussies does early stimulus training right from the very beginning, with Puppy Culture. Our puppies are ranch raised and are born right in our home; we ensure good experiences with a wide range of animals and people before they head to their new families.

  • Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) developed by the U.S. military to strengthen the canines long-term health and adaptability. ENS is about building resilience, preparing puppies for life outside the whelping box. Five quick exercises from days 3–16 of life:
    • Puppy is held upright
    • Puppy is held pointed down
    • Puppy is held on their back
    • Quick cool surface stimulation
    • Foot stimulation with a brush of a cotton swab
  • Early Scent Introduction (ESI) This is performed in conjunction with the above ENS training. When the puppies are from day 3-16 of life. A natural scent is introduced to the puppy each day for short intervals. Creates a more aware and alert dog, which in return makes an even better companion, service, and therapy dog.
  • Age-appropriate leash training has been established by 8 weeks!
  • Potty-training!!
    • At 3 weeks litter box training
    • By 5 weeks puppies are keeping their sleep area clean!
    • By 6 weeks puppies start potty training outside by using a doggy door
  • All puppies go home with a puppy kit and e-book!!
  • We utilize the following Age-Appropriate starting at 3 weeks of age. The following are our enrichment methods.
    • Crate Training- stress free training is started early on; puppies are able to come and going from the crate. Creating an area that is comfortable to sleep peacefully from siblings, it doesn’t take long for a puppy to love their crate!!
    • Noises – help build a confident puppy
    • Positive reinforcement for good manners,
    • Early Communication–with manding(inhibition control) and the clicker!
    • Socialization – Humans! Puppy is introduced to people of different ages; a focus on stress free experiences helps creating a confident puppy!
    • Socialization – Animals! A puppy experiences a variety of critters here; Nubian goats, horses, cats, bunnies, chickens, and dogs!

  • You will receive your puppy’s schedule; we encourage you to keep the puppy’s routine to ensure a stress-free transition and for potty-training success.
